There are two engine options for this car. There is a 5.0L Ti-VCT V8 engine that produces 500 horsepower and 418 lb.-ft of torque and a 2.3L EcoBoost engine that yields 315 horsepower and 350 lb.-ft of torque. A 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission is standard for models that use the EcoBoost engine and is available for all the other models. There are steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters for this transmission. All 2024 Mustang GT models use a 6-speed manual transmission.
If you enjoy drifting, the vehicle comes with an easy-to-use drift brake to make the job easy for you. You can select your preferred drive mode on the 13.2” touchscreen. The available drive modes include Normal, Slippery, Track, Drag, and Sport.
